Overview

As a serious human rights violation, human trafficking has received increasing state-wide, national, and global attention throughout the last decade. Due to lack of awareness, many opportunities for interventions on behalf of trafficking victims are missed. Being one of the few groups of professionals known to interact with victims of human trafficking while they remain in captivity, healthcare providers must be prepared to recognize signs of trafficking and act appropriately to intervene.

This course provides an overview of human trafficking within the pharmacy setting, empowering pharmacists with the information necessary to recognize signs of human trafficking and provide support to victims.

This course meets the pharmacy continuing education requirement outlined in Human Trafficking Bill, Chapter 2019-152, Laws of Florida. For more information, please visit: https://www.flhealthsource.gov/humantrafficking/
